# 1

  - : Hello, may I help you?
= : Yes, I'd like to make a reservation for tonight.

  - : Your name, please?
  = : Youngkyu Lee.

  - : One minute, Mr. Jones. What type of rooms do you want?
= : Well, I'd like two single rooms.

  - : For how many nights?
  = : Two.

  - : All right. Your room numbers are 504 and 505.
= : I see. By the way, are there any restaurants still open for dinner?

  - : I'm afraid all our restaurants close at 10:00.
But you can call room service. It's open 24 hours.
  = : Great. Thank you.

O : Hello, United Airlines. May I help you?
P : Yes, I'd like to make a reservation for a flight to New York.

O : How many tickets would you like to reserve, please?
  P : Three, please.

O : When would you make the reservation, sir?
  P : Next Friday.

O : All right, sir. We have one flight leaving at 10:40 a.m. and another at 3 p.m.
  P : I'd like to book tickets for the 3 o'clock flight.

Conversation

O : Good morning, Dr. Simson office.
P : Hello! This is Pet Simson. I'd like to make an appointment, please.

O : What seems to be the problem?
P : I have a fever. I'd like to see the doctor as soon as possible.

O : Well, normally you have to wait for a week.
But I think I can squeeze you in somewhere today.
P : Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.

O : You're quite welcome. How about this afternoon at three.
P : That would be fine. Thanks a lot.
